Austin & Texas Central Railroad
The Austin & Texas Central Railroad is located in the Austin area, ~15 miles southeast of Taylor. Phase 1 is complete with a 3200-foot mainline run. Taylor and Elgin have the nearest hotels.

- Solid fuel steam locomotives are required to have a spark arrestor with a solid impact plate. The popular mesh pencil cup with a solid bottom meets this requirement.
- Safety chains or automatic brakes are required
- There are 8 30A and 2 20A RV spots with water. Be prepared with 50 feet of power cord and water hose. Reserve a spot with the track owner.
